In a somber mood? Bermuda is there to brighten up your day

Often but erroneously perceived as part of the Caribbean, the British overseas territory of Bermuda is located in the northern Atlantic Ocean, less than 700 miles east of North Carolina, USA.

Bermuda is not that far away, as a flight to Bermuda from New York or other eastern seaboard cities takes less than 2 hours.

Bermuda, the pink-sand paradise with its beautiful beaches, parks and trails, has Hamilton as its capital city, with St. Georges as the other major city, which with its historic legacy has been designated a World Heritage site.

Discovered by and apparently named after Spanish explorer Juan de Bermudez,  Bermuda has transformed into an affluent territory and is a popular flight and cruise destination (eg, honeymoon cruise or family cruises).  Among the top Bermuda tourist attractions include the Royal Naval Dockyard, the Bermuda Aquarium, the Botanical Gardens, and the Crystal Caves.

So remember, if you happen to be in a somber mood, Bermuda packages or tours may just be the answer, as it is just a short distance away and beckons as a place where one's day can brighten up!
