Acclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Cinque Terre are 5 Mediterranean coastal villages in La Spezia province in the Liguria region of Italy.
Shown here are the villages of Complia and Maranola (photo by EI); the other 3 are: Romaggiore, Vernazza, and Monterosso al Mare.
Also shown are part of the section of the Lover's Road - Via dell'Amore - between Riomaggiore and Manarola, which has romantic hiking trails, and the coastline of Cinque Terre at dusk.
On top of the inspiring and romantic sceneries, add to it the fine dining possiblities, including superb wine and freshly-caught seafood cooked to perfection the Italian way, no wonder Cinque Terre has become a must-see attraction.
