A veritable work of nature, the Grand Canyon of Arizona is a massive and steep gorge formed over time by the combined input of the elements, including the waters of the Colorado River, the wind, rain, and the heat of the sun.
The Grand Canyon itself is part of the Grand Canyon National Park, which is among the first US national parks established.
Aside from the geological wonder itself, a recent addition to the landscape is the Grand Canyon Skywalk, also called the "Glass Bridge at Grand Canyon West.
